This page explains what information the Donkey card game ("the game", "we") collects when you play at this website, and how it is used.
Information you give us
You can play without an account. The only thing you enter is a display name, which is shown to the other players in your room. We do not ask for your email, phone number or any other personal details.
Information stored on your device
Your browser stores your display name (so you don't have to type it again) and a random guest ID for the current tab (so you can rejoin your seat if the page reloads). These stay on your device and can be cleared at any time in your browser settings.
Game data on our server
While a room is open, our server keeps the players' display names, the cards dealt and the moves played, only in memory. This data is deleted when the room closes and is not saved or shared.
Chat and feedback
Chat messages are shared only with the players in your room and are deleted when the room closes. If you send us feedback by email, we receive your email address and message, and use them only to reply and improve the game.
Advertising
We may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and measure their performance, which may include ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses this information at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings. Where required by law (for example in the EU/UK), you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
Donations
If you choose to support the game through Buy Me a Coffee, that payment happens on Buy Me a Coffee's website and is covered by their privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
